Always the anti-Scientology people (most of whom usually have a money suit in the making against the church) getting the air-time as usual. Never a pro-Scientologist gets to be on prime time news in defense of the Church... Guess that wouldn't make for "good" television... I'm sure they would have been glad to put a Scientology spokesman on camera, as would be perfectly normal in such cases. But the CoS doesn't even HAVE a spokesperson they dare to show any more: Heber Jentzch has been in the Hole for years and will never get out until he's dead; Mike Rinder was in the Hole for years until he blew and is now a major enemy; Tommy Davis blew more quietly and just doesn't say anything; supposedly their press person is "Karin Pouw" but nobody ever actually sees her, and statements signed with that name sound identical to Miscavige's drivel, so there is debate among Sci-watchers whether she does not exist at all, or does but no longer writes anything that goes out under her name, since she is deep in the Hole eating rice and beans only rarely and cleaning dumpsters with a toothbrush.
Rick - I remember seeing a few years back a whole group of Pro-Scientologists on prime time defending the church.. If I'm not mistaken they were all the ex-wives of ex-sea org members like Jeff Hawkins, Mike Rinder, Marty Rathbun etc. They all looked crazed, bitter and unhealthy to be quite honest. I think that all Sea Org members need some time off away from the sea org, so they can go see their families for a change and have some much needed down time! They are worked to the bone, under paid, sleep deprived and under nourished and oh this is the biggest one.. they are all over stressed because all they do is try to get MORE donations out of the members!! Hey Rick - question for ya - if you were under mind control would you know it?? I'd suggest looking up a few key words in the dictionary - starting with Mind Control and Brain Washing! Selling Religious Freedom is the oldest scam in history and it's no different today with Scientology or Jehova Witness Westboro Baptist church and on and on the list goes! It's ok - many of us were fooled too.. but it's time to go a searchin down that rabbit hole!! Good luck!

Yeah, right, it's a lovely thing. Actually I knew a lot of decent people when I was in the Sea Org, but the upper tiers are beyond contempt. It started with Hubbard's insanity and cruelty and David Miscavige has upped the ante. Best of luck to you, Rick Jr. I wish you well, if not the cult you're involved with.
Brother inlaw a professional with his own business and sister inlaw got involved with this hocus pocus and ended up going through bankruptcy and divorced. They even asked my inlaws for $$$$$$$ to pay for more auditing.
When we tried to explain our concern they stopped all contact, until they needed a place to stay during a trip back to town for the bankruptcy. Then away they went again no contact. Until years later via inlaws, never a word re what happened re.
