Rock Center
You may have heard that something colorful has burst into the windy city. It's called Color Jam and it's Chicago's largest public art project. When we say large, we mean that world-renowned artist Jessica Stockholder covering the second city's sidewalks, buildings, streets and even lamp posts with bright colors. She's literally painting the town red - and blue and green - with adhesive vinyl, and lots of it.
Commissioned by the Chicago Loop Alliance, Stockholder saturated the streets with bright and bold colors.
Rock Center received exclusive behind the scenes access during the installation of Color Jam in Chicago's downtown loop. The installation took seven nights to complete and Rock Center was there from start to finish.
Color Jam is on display at State and Adams now through September 30th.
