Rock Center with Brian Williams has been given unprecedented access to the White House Situation Room and learned new details about the events leading up to the raid targeting Osama bin Laden.
As the one year anniversary of the death of bin Laden approaches, President Barack Obama spoke exclusively to Rock Center Anchor and Managing Editor Brian Williams from the Situation Room, the most secure and secret part of the White House. The interview, a first for network television, will air during an hour-long Rock Center special, "Inside the Situation Room," on Wednesday, May 2 at 9pm/8c.

The iconic photograph taken inside the Situation Room offered the world the first glimpse of Pres. Obama's national security team at work during the Special Operations mission. Many of the people present in the room on the day bin Laden was killed are speaking to Rock Center about that historic night.
In addition to the president, Brian Williams interviewed Vice President Joseph Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen, National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough and John Brennan, assistant to the president for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.

Amazing how events turned out. I applaud the President Obama for taking a political risk! Yes, what would've happened if Bin Laden would've been visiting friends? Mission failure! Notice, how the President is not sitting in the Big Chair? In war is not good to be arrogant. President Obama has been humble about the death of Bin Laden. Why in the world would you pick a fight with such a country? America dropped an atomic bomb on a small island country. It was clear to the president at the time that he would have gotten the same result by dropping that bomb off the coast of that very small island yet he decided to drop it on people to make a point to the rest of the world. Don't attack the US. We will kill our own to protect our country (American civil war).

I can't believe this piece that NBC did! Are you kidding me!?! The seals and the military leaders deserve all the acolades as our heros. How in the hell can Obama take credit for this!?! Sure he is commander in chief and can declare war, but it is the generals and military leaders making this decision. Do you really believe he is going to stew over this decision over night in his study? He is a community freaking organizer with not one ounce of experience to make this decision. If he is not making the decision based on what his general is telling him, I am scared with what he will decide on in the future. It would have been great if he listened to the vice-dumbass and decided to sit on his hands. This portion was a real eye-opener! NBC is going to do whatever they can to re-elect this guy. Mitt isn't any better, but what a BS story. If the american public believes he was in his study contemplating this decision, the future isn't too bright for us. I hope the public reads between the lines and is not accepting everything the news likes to feed you. NBC should be ashamed.
If this president preforms in the next 4 years as he did in the past 3 and 1/2 years, he will be in writing, arguably one of the best presidents this country has ever had. Why in writing? No such credit ever goes to a black man willingly.
