Humanitarian organizations are not able to work in the Nuba Mountains. However, here are some organizations that are effective in helping Nuba refugees who have fled into South Sudan:

Additionally, Ryan Boyette's civilian reporting team, Eyes and Ears Nuba, can be supported through Kickstarter:

Didn't realize I already support them. These photos just mean I need to do more.
You missed the organization that has been doing the most since the crisis first began! The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) -- www.UNRefugees.org
It's impossible to read Ann Curry's report -- or to have watched the piece on Rock Center -- without wondering how these people will survive. War and rage and pain are pandemic, and we, who live without fear of imminent attack, have become somewhat jaded, inured to the daily media coverage of so much suffering all over the world. I can only thank Ann for her courage and compassion, the heart of a woman who brought yet another desperate situation to light -- who must feel overwhelming compassion for the people of South Sudan. I pray that others will join MY prayers for this dreadful situation to change...

There's a movie you can help support about a Sudanese man's journey to a chicken farm in Texas. The screenwriter wrote the script while in the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile. The film's in post-production but just released a trailer:
Where's the trailer link?
Msnbc site cut if off. Trailer can be found at faisalgoeswest.com

Ann's story with Ryan Boyette broke my heart. These poor, poor people. I can only pray for peace and their well being. Just horrible. Mr. Boyette is a man of honor. I wish him safety.
The Bishop Gassis Sudan Relief Fund, , also helps in Nuba Mountains. Dr. Tom Catena at the Mother of Mercy hospital in Gidel receives donations and support from that organization.
