Back in the 60's there were no cell phones with cameras to catch a young girl getting into a limo. The only images people saw of politicians were on the 6:00 news in black and white. Men were allowed to have affairs as long as they did it on the down low and didn't embarrass their wives. It was a different world than that in which we now live.

If you read the article, Mrs. Kennedy was sleeping in a separate bedroom. Doesn't sound like they were "together" anymore.

That isn't a question--it's a statement. In fact, most all of your points are statements and not questions. One can't answer a statement. The point is that Obama went to two undergraduate schools--Occidental and Columbia--and neither one admits people who can't perform reasonably well. Harvard law school doesn't admit people who don't perform reasonably well; the University of Chicago law school won't employ people who don't perform reasonably well. From Columbia through U of Chicago, somebody saw his transcripts or he wouldn't have gotten in. Only if you believe that a person with one black relative is too stupid to be admitted to a prestigious school unless something is amiss would you even imply that his transcripts must be atrocious or a red flag that needs to be looked at. He was at least a C student in his undergraduate work, and he was at least a C student in his law school work. His transcripts are at the least acceptable, if not stellar. I wouldn't mind seeing his transcripts--but, I'd really like to see Sarah Palin's, as her university record (so many schools in so short a time) sends up red flags that she was either consistently flunking out or one step ahead of the academic misconduct committee. You haven't been shown his transcripts for the same reason we haven't seen Palin's--one doesn't have to produce transcripts to be a politician. You can want it all you like--but it doesn't have to be done.

Barack Obama worked two jobs after his BA, the first with Business International Corporation--which has been known to be used as a CIA front company. I wouldn't call that a small civil rights firm. As for his BA--his grandparents probably paid for that, as they were well-to-do. Back in the day (and I matriculated back then), it was rare for students to hold jobs, particularly when they were at Columbia. In any case, Zeituni Onyango was in the US illegally, her request for asylum had been denied. She is now in the US legally, as her request was reopened and asylum granted in 2010. Onyango Obama is currently in the system, trying to avoid deportation. But, he is in the process of being deported if he doesn't win--it's a fairly common process. Both are private people, and neither has to disclose whom they are working for except to the IRS.

In all cases, I doubt that he did these things independently--but he was regarded as mildly successful, pragmatic, shrewd, and a person who worked as a bi-partisan. No one is ever completely satisfied when their candidate loses an election. Yet, we still move forward and put the past behind us. To dwell on things and rant and rave is not healthy. I didn't like how the 2000 election turned out, yet I still went back to work at my job as a member of the U.S. Navy and followed the orders of the President of the United States of America. I didn't question my orders, I didn't protest, I didn't leave behind my job and career aspirations. GWB was sworn in and he was my Commander-in-Chief. I continued to serve after Obama was sworn in for those very same reasons. I was an American and our political system had done it's work and elected someone new. There is always a shift from one party to the other.

It alienates people by putting them on the defensive, and nothing anyone says is going to change your mind or alter your perception of events because you are set in your ways. We all can point to things that upset us in our political beliefs. Here are some of my problems with political talking heads:

1. Why does GWB get a pass on his service as an Air National Guard pilot and Al Gore and John Kerry are torn down when they actually served in Vietnam...not just during Vietnam. Bush seemly never had to report for much of his drill time nor serve in-country in Vietnam ("Thanks Dad"). When a respected news man (Dan Rather) approached this topic he was doggedly attacked and his patriotism questioned, forced into retiring. What did GWB have in his records that they didn't want anyone to see?

2. Why does Dick Cheney get a pass on his seeking deferement from the draft during Vietnam, and then come back years later as some bastion of the military establishment as SecDef and then claim unprecented powers as VP? Doesn't it seem odd that the man asked to oversee the VP nomination process nominates himself? A little self-serving isn't it?

3. Isn't it odd how Bush/Cheney's first reaction in the Florida 2000 electoral fight was to fight to manipulate the legal system to suppress recounts in district that experienced difficulties with the ballots? Why didn't they want to wait to see what the will of the people was?

4. Why were Bush/Cheney (or let's be real...Cheney) so emphatic about attacking Iraq so quickly after Iraq? No clear or credible evidence existed that the Saddam was in any way involved, yet plans were made rapidly to invade? Is it coincidence that Cheney was heavy into oil/construction or is it convienience?

5. What happened to the billions of dollars that went missing in Iraq?

6. How could the military masterminds of Bush/Cheney so poorly understand the situation with the Iraqi army and the Iraqi populace. "They'll greetus as liberators". Really? When the Iraqi army was disbanded what did you think they would do with themselves in a nation that was already in poor economic straights after years of enforced no fly zones and embargo? Did they think that they would just sit at home and quietly disagree with the Shia and other sects that had been at each others throats for decades? What a Republican Guard commander to do when he no longer has a military chain of command to adhere to? I know...Jihad! Bush/Cheney spent as much time on that military/political/religious analysis as they did on the evidence (or lack of) for WMD.

7. Obama's transcripts...what about Dubya's? I'd like to know what kind of grades he got at Harvardto earn an MBA. He attended Yale before that. Why would he have transferred from one Ivy League school to another so quickly? Was he forced to leave or did his Skull and Crossbones secret society activities force him to transfer? He said he was an average student, which to me means a "C" student (taken from standard grading scales). You can probably earn your MBA from a C average, but let's be honest...do you want your president to be an average student or I don't know...head up the Harvard Law Review?

8. I'd like to know what illegal drugs GWB used in his lifetime. Why won't he tell us? We know he lost his driving priviledges for about two years for driving while intoxicated. What else was he using?

9. Why didn't anyone raise a ruckus about John McCain being born on foreign soil but they doggedly refuse to accept Obama as a valid U.S. citizen? Hawaii was a U.S. state at least, unlike McCain in the Panama Canal Zone...a territory(Hypocrites)

11. Obama didn't serve in the military but according to the Constitution, you don't have to be. Roughly 20 or so presidents have actually served in the military during wartime and a handful of others during peacetime. It's not a requirement, but neither is lack of service reason for ineligibility. Civilian leadership overseeing the military is one of the key factors that distinguishes us from a Banana Republic where the military is more interested in maintaining political power than serving the will of the people.

12. Why do Republicans presidential candidates cling to the bsurd proposition that you absolutely cannot ever raise taxes on the rich, but it's OK to ask the middle class or low income workers to accept lower wages and more cuts in benefits? When you have a problem paying your bills, you do two things to get by (a temporary solution)....you reduce your expenditures (cut spending on luxuries or non-essentials) and get part time job (raise more revenue). You praise Reagan but you ignore the fact that he raised taxes. So did Bush Sr. Is it really the end of the world to restore taxes to the level they were (what is it...a for, maybe five percent difference)? I don't don't harbor any ill will against someone who's used brains, determination, grit, and ingenuity to make a better life for themselves. That's the American dream. But the American dream should be open to everyone, and more and more it seems like the have's have the deck stacked against the have not's ever being able to realize the American Dream.

13. People get all up in arms about Obama bowing respectfully to other heads of state. Yeah...well Bush held hands and kissed an Arab...albeit one of his rich Saudi Shiek friends. Bush bowed head head to a world leader or two as well. In fact, in Japan he puked all over the Prime Minister. Also, in Japan, Obama's bow was appropriate according to protocol and did not meet the criteria for the prostrating, subservient bows that exist in Japanese society when meeting the Emperor. Plus, at least Obama has never man-handled the female Prime Minister in Germany like Bush did. Talk about awwwwkwarrrrd.
